Reproductive Child Health Scheme under Mother NGO Scheme

The Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) interventions that are being implemented by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India (GoI) are expected to provide quality services and achieve multiple objectives There has been a positive paradigm shift from the method-mix target based activity to client centred, demand driven quality services The Government of India is making efforts to re-orient the programme and change the attitude of the service providers at the grass-root level, as well as to strengthen the services at the outreach level.

To take the Reproductive Child Health (RCH) programme forward the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has

Selected 10 National NGOs as Regional Resource Centers (RRC) to provide technical support to Mother NGOs who in turn will work through their Field NGOs (FNGOs) in unserved and underserved areas of a district for facilitating the Four Key service delivery components viz: Mother & Child Health (MCH), Family Planning (FP), Adolescent Reproductive & Sexual Health (ARSH) and Management of RTI / STI.

RRC - FPA India has been selected as one of the Regional Resource Centers for providing technical support to the Mother NGOs (MNGO), Field NGOs (FNGO) and Service NGOs (SNGO) of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.

The RRC - FPA India team operating from the FPA India, HQ Mumbai and comprises of team of four dedicated staff:-
